GL 44 T offset, the new four row bed planter
|
At Agritechnica 2007, Grimme launched the new two row innovative bed planter GL 42 T incorporating shaping board and integrated furrow opener now well known as the Flow board.
Based on this machine development Grimme engineers have developed the four row belt planter GL 44 T with 3.5 tons bunker as an offset machine, for a greater increase of the acreage output. The machines runs offset behind the tractor to plant the potatoes in beds enabling the use of a standard tractor with 1.8 m track width
The two independent working Flow-Board systems ensure an even planting depth of the seed even with different bed heights. The option of a fertilizer unit and/or sprayer system is available, and also available are different bed width settings
