GL 420 Exacta

Sometimes it is worth to look back to realize the technical advantages. That especially effects the new "Exacta". Already ten years ago Grimme developed a rear carried planter which combined cultivation, planting and ridge shaping at once. Back than we turned the planting elements "around" to achieve that the bunker is as close to the tractor as possible. This construction actually can result in inaccurate planting disctances. Different growing and a bigger spreading of the crop are the effects.

The GL 420 Exacta defines the accurate planting distance for carried "Combi planters" new. The distinctive construction performs especially their advantages in small, curvy fields and on slopes.

For cultivation is normally a Grimme RT 300 fitted to the machines. As alternative is it also possible to combine the machine with a power harrow Zirkon 10 from Lemken. Both machines crumble the soil and prepare good growing conditions for the seed.

"Exacta" stands for the technical know-how what is integrated to this machine:

• Grimme planting elements fitted the proven way to ensure an accurate planting.

• Filling sensors (1) control the filling (2) of planting elements from the bunker.

• Short distance between planting element and ridge shaping to avoid rolling of the crop in the furrow.

• The shaping board and furrow opener are mechanical connected to ensure an even covering of the tubers with soil and an even growing.  

• Hydraulic pressure adjustment of the shaping boards for a better guiding of the planter
