Innovative, powerful and multiple awarded – the TECTRON 415 from Grimme! The four-row self-propelled potato harvester with the unique digging and chassis concept persuades with high output and maximum gentle harvesting and protection for your land at the same time. And the revolution keeps on rolling: with the newest development TERRA-FLOAT – the absolute novel, low maintenance and DLG awarded intake unit. Another innovation: the choice of a haulm topper with either inline system or cross conveyor. DLG awarded unique world innovation: the new low maintenance potato intake TERRA-FLOAT. The intake consists of 5 wheels, assembled on one cross tube, which run in the furrow beside the 4 ridges. The tube is mounted on either side of the main web channel, which is in turn fixed to a moving arm. Supported by two bearings it retains a low maintenance design and controls following functions: depth control, yawing movements and additionally takes the pressure from the front axle, side control of the drills, intake of haulm at the side and avoids crop losses between the shares.
A new member in the TECTRON family – the TECTRON 410, has been developed for special requirements as a vegetable harvester and to increase output. The machine is based on the proven chassis concept of the TECTRON 415, which enables inline harvesting, as well as the patented Terra-Float intake unit and the following sieving and separation units. At the rear of the TECTRON 410 is in addition to the MultiSep or Roller Separator a main web which increases the sieving output or a fine haulm elevator following the ring elevator is available as an alternative. For the final separation there is a hedgehog web installed on the top. The additional picking area on the top gives enough space for 2 people. The newly designed overloading bunker with 10 ton capacity has an extra long bunker head ensuring a very gentle transfer with reduced a drop height into the trailers.
Both TECTRON variants are powered by 490hp engines and both have the new Claas cab equipped with two CCI 200 terminals, which operation concept achieved an Agritechnica gold medal in 2009.
